Black Women Are Fuckable, Not Lovable

(2018)

Our worth minimized

to our body parts:

boobs

ass

vagina.

Our bodies as

Background silhouettes:

bitches

hoes

side chicks.

Our bodies objectified.

Sexualized.

Fuckable.

Our skin criminalized.

Too loud.

Too dark.

Too black.

We are told

we are always too much

and never enough.

We are fuckable

not lovable.

Handcuffed

to the double bind.

Trapped between

sexual choice and

justified violence.

No such thing

as an innocent

black girl.

Our blackness

Worthless until

white approved.

Our blackness

replicated on

whiteness.

Our blackness

our culture

craved

copied

appropriated.

Exploited.

...and

until this

narrative is changes

little black girls

will continue

growing up

being taught

that no matter what

they will only

be seen as fuckable

exploitable

dismissible.

Never respectable

Honorable

and lovable.

World

do

better.
